It took me 30 minutes, during non-peak traffic hours, to get from the Waterfront to Sea Point. It’s a journey that normally takes me about 8-10 blissful minutes.

Cape Town over the festive season reminds me of a university bar on a Friday night - only fun for the really, really, really drunk or mentally deranged.

I’ve returned from the UK with a monsterous credit card bill and some sort of flu. With results like this it’s a wonder it’s not more a tourist destination.
